Geri has worked in the corporate world for more than 30 years. After battling for years with a voice that kept nagging in her head, she finally decided to give in & do something truly meaningful with her life. It was a growing obsession to start a social enterprise. She saw an urgent need to help the maturing intellectually disabled, who were coming out of school & into the working world… only to find that they could not find a fit. As such, Cirrus Culinnaire and the brand My NoNNa’s was born.

This social enterprise would utilize the very special skills of the intellectually disabled & autistic to draw the logos that were being conceived by Geri as she developed the branding for these new ranges of food products. She found a mission to develop great food products while at the same time, be able to help the intellectually disabled & autistic find something meaningful that could give them a sense of fulfillment and independence.

Geri developed a love for Italian food when in her youth, she was blessed with much time to visit many parts of Italy! While there, she fell in love with the cuisine & spent time in the kitchens of Italian Nonnas (“Grandmothers”), trying to learn all their kitchen secrets! She was a private chef for 5 years as a hobby & has constantly wondered why there is a dearth of really good-tasting ready-to-eat Italian food available. Hence, the Italian range of “My Nonna’s” was conceived. The logo of “My Nonna” has been drawn by Aldie, an intellectually disabled young man, previously attached to Minds.

Mr Albert Lim, PBM

Director, El-Shaddai Resources Pte Ltd

Mr Albert Lim manages his own business under El-Shaddai Resources Pte Ltd, engaging in international trading of vegetable oils and soft commodities as a broker. He has over 30 years of extensive and varied experience in international trading in the industry. Prior to this, he held a corporate career and played a significant role within the senior management team as the Group General Manager, Trading, that spearheaded the regionalization of the corporate group into various countries. He was also a shareholder in F&B companies, lending his expertise in management.

He graduated with a Master of Social Sciences, Counselling, from the University of Southern Australia, Adelaide, Australia; and Bachelor of Arts/Social Sciences (majored in Economics and Political Sciences) from the National University of Singapore. He also has a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing.

An active entrepreneur, Albert balances his business with his personal duties of being a loving husband to his wife of 31 years, Alison, involved father to his three adult children (ages 23, 27 and 29), and a doting grandfather to his first grandchild.

He currently serves on the Families for Life Council (MSF), plus the Boards of five SSAs - Centre for Fathering/DADs for Life, Empower Ageing Ltd, FaithActs, Methodist Welfare Services, and SHINE Children and Youth Services. He is a deputy registrar of ROM, serving as a Local Solemnizer, and also a Board of Visitor to SAF Detention Centre. To tap on his F&B experience, he accepted the post of Advisor to social enterprise My NoNNa’s.

His passion lies in the social service sector and community ground where he seeks to be the voice and advocate for the less privileged and nurture the mainstream. He has been an active volunteer for more than three decades, involved in many programmes, for the betterment of fellow Singaporeans. He has also been instrumental in pioneering several initiatives such as starting a youth agency, a senior focused agency, and forming a family focused ground-up network, Family Nation Network (FNN). He with his team of volunteers at FNN strive to develop families to live, express and nurture love at home. In so doing, to build a strong and vibrant nation.

For many, a passion remains just that – a passion. Not so for Ms Helene Raudaschl, Managing Director of gourmet purveyor Indoguna, who has successfully turned her passion for food into a thriving business with affiliated companies in Dubai, Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam.

Helene has had a passion for this since she was a young child. Her mother manages a food company which imports specialty food such as raspberries, foie gras, truffles, caviar and smoked salmon. Her palate was constantly trained by her mother, from young, to learn about these exotic food products. Having been exposed to a strong food culture since young, Helene knew right from the beginning that food was and would always be her passion.

Her family has been in the food business for over 30 years and she learnt a lot about good food at home as she had the opportunity to taste the premium produce imported from Australia, France and the US for the Hong Kong market. Helene’s family and the founder of Indoguna had been doing business together for a long time; her family was supplying products from Hong Kong to Jakarta. When she decided to move to Singapore, joining Indoguna Singapore was the perfect choice. In 1997, Indoguna was still a small company with expansion plans in discussion. Helene soon became the Managing Director and co-owner in 2002, focusing her efforts in expanding the business to a level and standard second to none.

Helene grew up with hands-on experience and first-hand knowledge, and a deep desire to extend and offer good and quality products to institutions that value fine food and quality produce. Her philosophy of “Only the best is good enough” is applied throughout the business. It is only with this immeasurable passion, that Indoguna can continuously deliver the best the world has to offer, and stay at the forefront of innovation.

Indoguna Singapore Pte Ltd was established in 1993 as a meat company importing the highest-quality chilled meat from all over the world, with affiliated companies in Dubai, Hong Kong, Thailand and Vietnam. Since then, it has expanded its product offering to include other premium food products like seafood, fine food and an assortment of artisanal cheeses, chocolates and caviar.

Indoguna operates a fully-operational butchery/protein platform to provide customers with a range of value-added services like meat, poultry and seafood/fish portioning and processing. In addition, the company also processes cooked, air dried, and smoked European style small goods. Over the years, Indoguna has selectively introduced premium brands like Ocean Gems seafood, Carne Meats (specialty small-goods), Masterpiece (dim sum and convenience food) and an online retail arm, to the retail and consumer communities.

Helene’s love and passion for the food business can also be seen through the awards that she has won, including the reputable EY Entrepreneur of the Year – Food and Beverage Distribution (2016), Successful Entrepreneur Award (2011), the prestigious Enterprise 50 Awards (2012-2016), the Hall of Fame for Gourmet Distributor of the Year – World Gourmet Summit (2017) and Wine Distributor of the Year – World Gourmet Series Awards of Excellence (2012). In the Awards of Excellence, Indoguna was awarded Gourmet Distributor in 2016, 2013 and 2011), and was the Influential Brands Top Brand 2015 Winner for Premium Food Provider, as well as a winner of the Promising SME 500 Award in 2012. Helene is also a selected member of the EY Entrepreneurial Winning Women™ Class of 2017 in Asia-Pacific.
